The Unheard Screams Charity Drive

What is an unheard scream? It's the scream that's ignored by an attacker, usually consisting of "No!", "Stop!", and "Let me go!". These screams are because of a sexual assault and they always fall on deaf ears. There are charities and organizations dedicated to helping people who are victims of sexual assault, so what would be the point of having yet another one?

The point is this: There has been a trend in fan fiction writing where someone is raped, a non-con story, and a few paragraphs later, they're fine as if it never happened. That's not how real life works. The Unheard Screams Charity Drive is to raise awareness that rape is not something people just get over a few minutes after it has happened.

The Unheard Screams Charity Drive has gathered some very talented fan fiction writers who have agreed to lend their skill with words to this cause. Each has written a story dealing with rape, both women and men as the victims, and its after effects. These stories can be read for a donation of $5 to the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network (RAINN). Click on the sword below and it will take you to their webpage where you can donate your $5 to them or another network that helps people of sexual assault. Then, once you have recieved a confirmation of your donation, forward that on to unheardscreams01@yahoo.com and you will recieve the user name and password to access the stories.

We hope to make this an annual charity drive, and the way to do that is to make the first one a success. Please, help us help those who were hurt so badly that many never fully recover. Every little bit helps those that are victims and reminds them that it wasn't their fault no matter what they were told.

For those that wish to donate a story instead, send it to the e-mail address by no later than September 20th. E-mail addresses of the authors will be witheld for their privacy if they choose.

Stipulations for story submission are as follows: The actual N/C scenes can be graphic or glossed over, I'd much prefer glossed over but if you have the intestinal fortitude to do graphic, be my guest. After effects can be immediate or years later (sometimes it takes years for those things to surface). Can be in any fandom. Can be told from either perpetrator's, victim's, or someone close to the victim such as a significant other, close friend or family member's point of view. Please, none of the "I love you so much I couldn't help myself" bullshit.

All submissions will be read and the ones appropriate to the charity drive as well as follows the stipulations will be posted on this site.
