“Take your clothes off.”
Edward Elric blinked as he looked up at Xander Harris who was lounging against the door. The brunette was standing there in a pair of tiny cut off jean shorts that were so worn as to not leave much to the imagination and sweat was trickling down his chest. Ed’s golden eyes followed a drop as it traveled down the tan skin stretched over nice muscle before vanishing into the almost white shorts. The sight of one of his lovers standing there in almost nothing was enough of an incentive to make Ed forget about the heat wave that had the city in its grips and the malfunctioning air conditioner that kept them on the border of heat stroke.
A hand waved in front of Ed’s eyes and he blinked, coming back to the present to find Xander smirking at him. “Did you say something?”
“Yeah, I said take your clothes off,” repeated Xander as he stepped back from the couch with a smirk. “You’ve got to be roasting in those jeans and that shirt.”
Ed found his eyes going to the long jeans and the long sleeved button-down shirt and realized that Xander was right as he felt the material stick to his sweaty skin. Even his automail felt hot and uncomfortable. He wasn’t even sure why he was wearing the long clothes anyway. Idly shrugging, he started unbuttoning the shirt. It was probably habit left over from when he was actually a bit embarrassed about the metal arm and leg, knowing that other alchemists would jump to the conclusion of alchemy backlash or even the right one of Human Transformation to explain why his right arm and his left leg from mid thigh down was metal.
“So what do you have planned, Xander?” inquired Ed as he shrugged off the shirt before standing up to attack his jeans, already feeling cooler despite the thick braid of blond hair trailing down his back.
Xander smirked and dropped a pair of jean cut offs on the couch next to Ed. They were just as small and as worn as the pair Xander was currently wearing but they were smaller in the waist to fit Ed’s slimmer hips. “There’s this spot in the forest I know of that’s quiet and cool with a pond. No one else knows about it save for maybe a vampire or two and even then it’s still day out,” remarked Xander, running a hand through his sweaty hair and grimacing. “So, we’re going to grab Al, some towels and a picnic lunch and go skinny dipping.”
Grinning, Ed slipped on the shorts, being careful not to rip them with his metal hand, and slipped a pair of sandals on as they bustled around the apartment getting everything needed for their outing after waking up Alphonse Elric from his nap. In less than an hour, they were ready for their skinny-dipping expedition.
‘And perhaps a bit more fun on the side,’ mused Ed with
a smirk as he followed his friend and his lover out of the house and into the
cooler forest.
